Amber Wine 2020
Amber wine was born in the country of Georgia, where it was traditionally made in clay qvevri (pronounced “k-where-vree”). These were large clay vessels that were buried underground. The deep yellow or orange-like hue is contributed by the fermentation that occurs on the skins. This Amber wine was fermented on the skins for 24 days, at a low temperature (around 50 ⁰F). An off-dry Amber wine, this wine is an exciting new addition to our tasting menu.
